My Journey with Japanese

I originally started taking Japanese this semester because I absolutely refused to take another romance language, but now I’m considering minoring in the language. I find Japanese absolutely fascinating, and while yes it is very difficult to remember everything all the time (especially when you’re trying to learn it as fast as we are), I don’t like it any less. I came into this class with some understanding of Japanese culture and society but none of the language and I finish the semester having gained  knowledge about both but also some new friends.

何を見ましたか？

「ハウルの動く城」という映画を見ました｡ きれいな映画ですね♪ 日本語を見ましたが、英語を見ませんでした。(英語のサブタイトルを読みました｡)カルシファーが好きです。

私のサンクスギビングの休みはどうでしたか？

私のサンクスギビングノ休みはまあまあでした．私の街に帰りませんでした、がノートルダム大学は静かでした。たくさん寝ました。　(_ _).｡o○

私は十一月ニ十五日に友達と会いました。友達といっしょうに「ネッツギビング」に行きました。「フライブレード」や「マンゴーサーゴ」を作りました。ハンソンさんは「アロズコンポヨ」を作りました。楽しいですね♪ いっしょに晩御飯を食べました。🍗🍚🍞🥭！

十一月二十日にバスケットボールの試合でクラリネットを吹きました。そして、十一月二十四日ホッケーノ試合でクラリネットを吹きました。

何を見ましたか？

 私は「自爆少年花子くん」というアニメをみました。日本語を見ました．それから、英語をみました。

自爆少年花子くんが大好きですよ。

面白いです！

そして、マンファを読みましょう．「あいだいろ」という漫画家は才能があります。

何を聞きましたか？

 先週私はVOCALOIDやJROCKを聞きました。

宿題をしながら、私は音楽を聞きました。

「新しい学校」が好きですよ。

私のりょおのへや

 これは私の量のへやです。(PW 327)

私のへやはベッドや机やコンピュータがあります。

大きい窓があります。窓はベッドの右があります。きれいなコンピュータは机の上があります。机トコンピュータは下のベッドがあります。

でも、私のへやはちょっときれいじゃないです．そして、写真をとりません。

居合道

 Iaido is a martial art that focuses on awareness and the drawing of the sword quickly, but it encompasses a number of styles of swordsmanship. Iaido's main focus is reacting to an opponent in a manner that is swift and smooth. It consists of four main components:

Nukitsuke: Drawing of the sword

Kiriotoshi: Striking the opponent

Chiburi: Shaking the blood from the sword

Nōtō: Returning the sword to the saya

I look forward to the workshop and using a bokken as practice :)

I can't say I have any questions at the moment however because I know so little about this martial art. I just can't wait to see how it goes.
